Sulfur dioxide (SO 2 ) presents serious threat to environmental ecosystems and human health, driving the need for efficient and environmentally friendly SO 2 absorbents. In this study, oxidized poly(arylene sulfide sulfone)/ aminated UiO-67 (OPASS/UiO-67-(NH 2 ) 2 ) nanofiber membranes were successfully fabricated via electrospinning technology and in situ growth. The structure and morphology of OPASS/UiO-67-(NH 2 ) 2 nanofiber membrane were characterized by scanning electron microscopy (SEM), Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FT-IR), X-ray diffraction (XRD), and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS). It is found that OPASS/UiO-67-(NH 2 ) 2 exhibited the highest SO 2 adsorption capacity (9.3 cm 3 /g) at 298 K and 0.01 bar. Moreover, it exhibits excellent selective separation performance in mixed gas (SO 2 /CO 2 /N 2 ), and the point of penetration of 5% is 1073.0 s. It is attributed to the polar amino groups of UiO-67-(NH 2 ) 2, which serve as hydrogen-bonding sites for SO 2 . The robust integration of UiO-67-(NH 2 ) 2 into the OPASS nanofibers not only guaranteed stable operational performance but also improved dynamic SO 2 adsorption capacity, which reached 17.25 mg/g. These findings indicate the potential applicability of OPASS/UiO-67-(NH 2 ) 2 nanofiber membranes in industrial flue gas desulfurization and gas separation processes.
