Le résumé fourni par la source

This project is a mixed-methods study involving a baseline parent–adolescent survey, a seven-day parent-only Ecological Momentary Assessment (EMA) phase, and qualitative follow-up interviews with parents. The study examines how parents’ adversity histories, personality traits and emotional reactivity are associated with parenting experiences in everyday family life. The baseline survey will collect parent data on adverse and positive childhood experiences, emotion regulation, mental health, and household environment, as well as adolescent data on personality and behavioural strengths and difficulties. The EMA phase will involve parents completing brief momentary reports across seven days, capturing personality, emotional reactivity, parental warmth, conflict or tension, and recent parent–adolescent interaction characteristics. The qualitative phase will involve semi-structured interviews with a purposive sample of parents who complete the baseline and EMA phases and consent to follow-up. Sampling will be informed by baseline and EMA profiles, particularly patterns of adversity, warmth, conflict, parenting stress and emotional reactivity. The interviews will explore meaning-making, resilience, emotional regulation and everyday caregiving without requiring detailed trauma narratives.
