Le résumé fourni par la source
This poster outlines the mechanical engineering evolution of the ANDES visible-arm vacuum vessels, focusing primarily on the RIZ vacuum chamber located in the ELT Coudé room, while utilizing a shared iterative design philosophy that encompasses the UBV arm. While both vessels leverage analogous baseline configurations to minimize resources, their designs diverge to accommodate localized subsystem requirements: the RIZ vessel incorporates a 2-camera layout while the UBV vessel accommodates a 3-camera layout, all of them off the shelf DN800 ports. Furthermore, whereas the UBV arm requires an active leveling system on the moving Nasmyth platform, the stable environment of the Coudé room allows the RIZ vessel to use a floor-fixed, high-stiffness, mat-type passive support concept. Through extensive structural and geometric optimizations, the fully outfitted RIZ assembly mass has been successfully reduced to ∼ 8.3 t, substantially lowering the center of gravity.
