Explanation: X-ray imaging was performed at the BM05 beamline at the European Synchrotron Radiation Facility in France using a voxel size of 3 micron, 6000 projections with exposure 148 time 50 ms, and a white beam with mean energy 73 keV. In order to image the full sample, 7 tomograms were acquired with different vertical offsets. Projections have been flat- and darkfield corrected before reconstruction. The intensity scale represents quantitative attenuation with a unit of 1/cm.This dataset is structured in the ome.zarr format and consists of 4 resolution levels: 0,1,2,3 with 3.1, 6.2, 12.4, 24.8 microns³ voxel size.Data can be loaded in Python using the following lines: import zarr path = 'xray' z = zarr.open(path, mode="r") volume = z['2'][:] # Loads the 12.4 micron voxel size volume Methods, materials and software: Reconstruction was performed in Python using the Core Imaging Library.
