Le résumé fourni par la source

The EKARUS project is a collaboration between LAM, ONERA, INAF, Durham University, and IPAG, aiming at bringing the Papyrus AO test bench at the 1.8m telescope of the Asiago Observatory. This paper details the design and implementation of the EKARUS Instrument Control Software (ICS), which is based on the PLICO Python framework. The architecture utilizes a distributed, service-oriented model, leveraging ZeroMQ (ZMQ) for communication between a central component “Sequencer like” and specialized hardware servers. A key design principle is strict hardware abstraction, this is a significant advantage for an R&D test bench as it guarantees high flexibility and rapid component upgrade cycles. The core work involves extending PLICO to integrate custom hardware. This modular architecture delivers strong adaptability and efficient support for the EKARUS AO bench infrastructure and its interface with the Real-Time Controller (RTC) and the Telescope Control System (TCS).
