The ASTRI Mini-Array is an international project led by the Italian National Institute for Astrophysics (INAF) aimed at building and operating an array of nine 4-m class imaging atmospheric Cherenkov telescopes (IACTs) at the Teide Observatory (Tenerife, Spain). Seven out of nine telescopes have been installed and three of them are already acquiring Cherenkov data, undergoing the commissioning and science verification phase. The array is designed to perform deep observations of the Galactic and extragalactic gamma-ray sky in the 1–200 TeV energy band, with important synergies with other ground-based gamma-ray facilities in the northern hemisphere, like MAGIC, HAWC, LHAASO, LST and, in the near future, CTAO. As part of the overall software system, the ASTRI Project features the data processing system (DPS), a dedicated system responsible for the end-to-end processing and scientific exploitation of all raw data acquired at the observation site. Due to the high-speed network connection available between the Canary Islands and Italy and the low volume of data produced by the innovative ASTRI Cherenkov cameras, the data acquired on site will be delivered to the ASTRI Data Center in Rome immediately after acquisition. There, the DPS will perform pre-processing, calibration, reduction, selection, and analysis of the raw data in a high-performance computing (HPC) cluster up to the generation of science-ready data products, such as event-lists and observation-related instrument response functions (IRFs), to be delivered to the scientific community, and preliminary science products. The system employs a multi-stage pipeline architecture to manage the data flow from the telescopes to the final scientific products, with the primary goal of providing fast, reliable, and reproducible results. In this paper, we provide an overview of the main components, functionalities, and interfaces of the ASTRI Mini-Array DPS. We will also report on the current status of its development, implementation, and testing using real data collected during the commissioning and science verification phase of the first telescopes in the array.
