Le résumé fourni par la source
High-flow nasal cannula oxygen therapy is a promising new method of noninvasive respiratory support and improving mucociliary clearance in patients with bronchiectasis. Studies have shown that high-flow nasal cannula oxygen therapy can play a significant role during bronchiectasis exacerbations, improving gas exchange parameters, reducing the work of breathing, and alleviating dyspnea. Long-term use of high-flow nasal cannula oxygen therapy at home can improve quality of life in patients with bronchiectasis, as demonstrated by a reduction in the number of exacerbations and improved expectoration. Notably, a positive effect on exacerbation frequency was observed across all levels of bronchiectasis severity during high-flow nasal cannula oxygen therapy, indicating the potential applicability of this noninvasive respiratory support method to a wide range of patients. An important mechanism of action of high-flow nasal cannula oxygen therapy for bronchiectasis is to ensure optimal temperature and humidity in the airways, which ensures the preservation of the function of the mucociliary transport system, preventing the inflammatory reaction caused by dehydration of the mucous membrane, and preventing bronchoconstriction provoked by dry, cold air.
