This text focuses on aesthetic education and examines Freirean thought. The problem statement is as follows: what contributions can Freirean thought make to aesthetic education? The overall objective is to examine Paulo Freire's contributions to aesthetic education. The methodology is theoretical-bibliographic with a bibliographic and qualitative approach. The analysis procedures include reading, appropriation, and recontextualization of the work Pedagogy of the Oppressed (1979), moving Freirean thought into the field of aesthetic education. The results showed that Paulo Freire's contribution to the conceptualization of aesthetic education lies in the idea of creative teaching, which is concerned with his human testimony as a humanist educator to think of ways to affect the learner.
