Le résumé fourni par la source

The blending combustion of methane and ammonia is a promising strategy that can effectively address the inherent disadvantages of ammonia, such as ignition difficulty, low reactivity, and combustion instability. However, the high NO emission is still a considerable barrier in ammonia utilization. This study utilized the N-labeled chemical kinetic mechanism to distinguish between fuel and thermal NO, demonstrating the predominance of fuel NO in the CH4/NH3 swirling flame. The Global Pathway Analysis method was adopted to investigate the pathways governing the formation and consumption of the fuel NO at various equivalence ratios, ammonia blending ratios, and inlet velocities. The results indicated that the fuel NO emissions reached peaks under ER = 0.8 and RNH3 = 40% at different equivalence ratios and ammonia blending ratios, respectively. Increasing the inlet velocity led to the competition of thermal power and residence time, resulting in the lowest fuel NO emission under V = 220 cm/s. The radicals HNO and NH are critical intermediates to produce the fuel NO via the pathways of NH3 --> NH2 --> HNO --> NO and NH3 --> NH2 --> NH --> HNO --> NO. The dominance of the direct oxidation pathway through HNO within the chamber reduces as the equivalence ratio rises, while increases at high ammonia blending ratio and inlet velocity.
