This repository contains the disease outbreak data supporting findings in manuscript 'Global patterns of interlinked human, animal, and environmental health'The file data_outbreaks.csv contains the primary analytical dataset, with annual outbreak counts aggregated at the country level for 153 countries from 2005 to 2023. It includes counts of human and domestic animal disease outbreaks as well as environmental and socioeconomic variables.The file OIERAW_Quantitative data 2025-05-30.csv contains the original domestic animal disease outbreak data downloaded from the World Animal Health Information System (WAHIS), maintained by the World Organisation for Animal Health (WOAH), accessed on 30 May 2025.Human infectious disease outbreak records were obtained from the Global Infectious Disease Epidemiology Network (GIDEON) and used under license for this study. Access to these source data is subject to GIDEON’s licensing restrictions.
