Datasets of Land-Based Carbon Farming Projects under the Australian Carbon Credit Unit Scheme and Queensland Land Restoration Fund

This dataset contains two processed secondary datasets compiled for the study of land-based carbon farming projects in Australia. The first dataset includes land-based projects registered under the Australian Carbon Credit Unit (ACCU) Scheme up to November 2025, based on publicly available information from the Clean Energy Regulator project register. It includes information on project methods, locations, project proponents, credit issuance, and project developer classifications. The second dataset includes contracted projects supported through Queensland’s Land Restoration Fund (LRF) up to June 2026, based on publicly available project summaries, reports, and program documentation. It includes information on project proponents, partner organisations, project activities, co-benefit claims, and project developer involvement.
