[...] National parks are areas that aim at protecting large-scale ecological processes with charac-teristic species and ecosystems, which also have environmentally and culturally compatible spiritual, scientific, educational, recreational and visitor opportunities. For this reason, na-tional parks provide areas where ecological processes can happen without human interven-tions. According to the motto "Let nature be nature", wildlife and their habitats should be left to themselves in order to ensure undisturbed dynamics of biotic communities. This includes not only allowing predator-prey relationships or wildlife migration, but also allowing ungulates to peel and browse on vegetation. In a national park, unlike in commercial forests, the impact of ungulates on tree regeneration does not represent any "damage", but is considered as an ecological process that increases the ecosystem’s naturalness.
