DEPENDENCE ON PSYCHOACTIVE SUBSTANCES IN TUBERCULOSIS PATIENTS
Résumé fourni par la source
The study analyzes the relationship between substance use disorders and the dynamics of tuberculosis progression. This patient cohort presents particular challenges for early detection and for the effective treatment of coexisting conditions. In this review, we summarize key considerations and the latest evidence on tuberculosis management in the drug-using population. We also address treatment adherence among people with substance dependence and, when applicable, HIV-positive status. The review draws on literature published from 2009 to 2025.
