Résumé fourni par la source

OBJECTIVES: to describe adherence to the COVID-19 vaccination schedule in two riverside communities in Careiro/AM, Brazil. METHODS: this was an epidemiological, observational, descriptive, and cross-sectional study with a quantitative approach, conducted in 2023-2024. Data were collected via interviews guided by a standardized form and analyzed descriptively in Excel (relative and absolute values). RESULTS: sociodemographic characteristics were similar to those found in the literature. The majority received at least one dose (98.68%). Access, concerns, and social factors influenced vaccination. Unwillingness to be vaccinated predominated (36.84%). Thus, 62.50% were identified as having no comorbidities and 56.29% had a reported diagnosis of COVID-19. CONCLUSIONS: the riverside communities surveyed are undergoing transformations. Furthermore, they exhibit a progressive refusal of vaccine doses, which appears to be associated with social factors and information about the vaccines.
