Given this complex interface between institutional fragility and the advancement of agrarian capital, this study adopts a Scoping Review design, guided by the rigorous parameters of the PRISMA-ScR (Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses extension for Scoping Reviews) protocol. The objective of this methodological design is to mitigate the publication bias common to traditional systematic reviews, enabling a detailed mapping of the scope, profile, and gaps in the existing empirical literature on decentralized environmental governance and its actual capacity to curb agricultural expansion in the Legal Amazon.
