Moringa oleifera Lam.(Family: Moringaceae), universally termed the "miracle tree" or "tree of life," has emerged as a premier bioresource in modern pharmaceutical sciences, green pharmacology, and functional food industries.This comprehensive review systematically highlights the multi-targeted therapeutic landscape, nutritional potential, and advanced formulation paradigms of M. oleifera.Phytochemical profiling reveals an array of bioactive secondary metabolites, including polyphenols (quercetin, kaempferol, rutin), phenolic acids (chlorogenic, caffeic, gallic acids), glucosinolates, and unique sulfur-rich isothiocyanates.These constituents render potent, mechanistically driven pharmacological profiles encompassing antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, antimicrobial, cardioprotective, antidiabetic, and anti-neoplastic properties.M. oleifera as an optimal vehicle to address global malnutrition and reinforce food security.In the domain of formulation pharmacy, recent advances emphasize the transition from crude extracts to value-added matrices, including phytopharmaceuticals, nutraceuticals, advanced nanocarriers, cosmeceuticals, and functional food products.This review synthesizes preclinical mechanisms, insights from recent human clinical trials, toxicological thresholds, regulatory challenges, and the technological innovations necessary to transition this traditional botanical asset into standardized, globally accepted therapeutic interventions.
