The data comprise the cover of each alien plant species and total cover of native species per stratum in the subalpine (Volcano site) and the rainforest vegetation (Mare Longue and Sainte Rose sites) on Reunion Island. Additional information on habitat types and elevation is provided. For each alien species, the dataset also includes its maximum impact category based on the Environmental Impact Classification for Alien Taxa (EICAT) assessment of Boulesnane-Guengant O (2026) Ecological impacts of alien species in Reunion Island using the Environmental Impact Classification of Alien Taxa framework: a global compilation and local records. Bioinvasion Records (accepted with major revision). This field-based invasion degree is used in the paper Boulesnane-Guengant O, Maillot C, Rouget M, Caubit M, Chiroleu F, Becker-Scarpitta A, (2026) Assessing the local ecological impacts of alien plants in the subalpine and rainforest vegetation of Reunion Island.
