This data collection contains the data sets and R code for "Memory on ice: spatial memory is retained over a 9-mo hibernation period in Columbian ground squirrels". The paper tests whether spatial memory persists over prolonged hibernation in Columbian ground squirrels. A spatial maze task is used and individual performances at solving the task is compared before and after hibernation, and to a naïve group having performed the task just once. The data includes (1) A "README" file including a description of the analytical approach and meaning of the variables and data used in the analyses, (2) a "data_hibernation.csv" file including the data from the experiment, (3) the R script "hibernation_analysis.R" used for the analyses.
