This dataset compiles analytical results obtained from 13 sediment cores collected between 2010 and 2022 from 11 lakes and lagoons in the French Alps, representing contrasting environmental settings, and includes two additional lakes located outside the Alpine region to test model transferability. Metadata are described in the README.txt file. The dataset includes results from laboratory analyses performed on sediment samples, including CHN, loss-on-ignition (LOI), and dry bulk density (DBD). It also provides hyperspectral measurements acquired using an ASD spectrometer (350–2500 nm). All data are organized in an Excel file, with one worksheet per sediment core.
