Datasets for the research article entitled "The phenylacetic acid pathway is important for phytopathogen establishment in the rhizosphere". This dataset includes:1)RB-TNseq_library: Contains files of the barcode library, analysis of barcode diversity and code for all analysis performed with the gene fitness values of the RB-Tnseq. 2) phenylacetic_acid_blast: Contains the code and results of a large scale blast to annotate phenylacetic acid degradation genes in the Bacdive and CRBC dataset.3)16S: Contains the code and outputs of the microbiome 16S analysis. All the raw fastq files used for the 16S and RBTnseq analysis are uploaded in the NCBI Bioproject: PRJNA1402740. Code for RBTnseq analysis can be found in https://bitbucket.org/berkeleylab/feba/src/master/bin/.
