Increasing Engagement and Positive Emotional Behavior of Older Adults with Mild-Moderate Dementia with the use of Motion-Based Technology and Meaningful Activities
Le résumé fourni par la source
Non-pharmacologic interventions are an effective strategy for addressing the behavioral and psychological symptoms of dementia, as well as a means to enhance their quality of life. There is growing evidence to support the therapeutic use of motion-based activities for adults with dementia. The purpose of this study was to investigate if adults with dementia who engaged in self-selected motion-based games demonstrated higher indicators of engagement compared to those who engaged in the activities typically offered at an adult care center.
