Le résumé fourni par la source
Understanding the development and temporal evolution of electron density fluctuations in the ionosphere is essential for mitigating their adverse effects on radio wave propagation and enhancing the reliability of radio communication and navigation systems. Observations and modelling efforts suggest that electron density fluctuations in the Earth’s ionosphere are “turbulent” in nature, and that under certain conditions they can exhibit significant intermittency, marked by sporadic, scale-dependent fluctuations that deviate from Gaussian behavior. It is wellknown that geomagnetic storms significantly impact the morphology and dynamics of the ionospheric plasma, increasing the occurrence of both small-scale irregularities and large-scale disturbances, especially at high latitudes.
