Le résumé fourni par la source

Parental mentalization plays a crucial role for parenting (e.g., Dollberg, 2022) and is associated with child development (e.g., Zeegers et al., 2017). There is evidence that parents with several aspects of psychopathology (e.g., borderline personality disorder [BPD] and depressive disorders) show impairments in their mentalizing capacity. However, findings vary depending on the mentalization constructs investigated and comparisons between several mental disorders are rare (Georg et al., 2023; Suhrmann et al., 2022). The aim of the current study is to explore two facets of parental mentalization in mothers with BPD: Mind-mindedness and reflective functioning. Furthermore, group differences between mothers with BPD and a clinical control group of mothers with anxiety or depressive disorder and a healthy control group will be investigated in order to analyze potential disorder specific patterns.
