Le résumé fourni par la source

Preservation of a healthy environment is one of the global goals of sustainable development. A special sphere belongs to waters, both natural and waste, which need to be purified before being discharged into waterways. Various technological processes have found their application in real, conventional wastewater treatment systems. Advanced oxidation processes (AOP), among them photocatalysis, represent the future in this field. Namely, compared to standard procedures, the application of UOP achieves the permanent removal of organic pollutants without the need for secondary treatment. In this work, the newly synthesized photocatalyst TiO2/Y2O3 was subjected to detailed structural and morphological tests in order to determine the textural properties, and then the chemical and photochemical properties. Various analytical techniques were applied to characterize the obtained powder, such as scanning electron microscopy (SEM), Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR), X-ray powder diffractometry (XRD). The techniques used showed efficient synthesis of nanometer particles, with successful deposition of Y2O3 on the surface of initial TiO2. In addition, the high photocatalytic efficiency of 99% according to the anion-type pollutant model classifies this photocatalyst as very efficient. Using ultraviolet/visible (UV/Vis) spectroscopy, the presence of model pollutants in the residual aqueous solution was not observed.
