Archive version of a comparison of the Python-based Mesa framework to the JVM-based Josh using both threaded and non-threaded variants on an example patch-based ecological simulation. This runs for a configurable duration but, by default, uses 100 years and 100 replicates. The Python version takes advantage of a GIL-free release.
