ARCOS: Analysis Repository for Cosmological FRB Studies in Simulations

ARCOS (Analysis Repository for COsmological FRB studies in Simulations) is a Python-based analysis framework developed for fast radio burst (FRB) cosmology studies using the CROCODILE cosmological hydrodynamic simulations based on GADGET4-Osaka. ARCOS provides a collection of analysis pipelines designed to generate and interpret FRB observables from large-scale cosmological simulations. The software focuses primarily on dispersion measure (DM) calculations and the study of cosmic baryon distributions through FRB sightlines. The framework includes tools for: Halo and subhalo catalog analysis Circumgalactic medium (CGM) and intergalactic medium (IGM) baryon studies FRB dispersion measure (DM) calculations Halo DM versus impact parameter analyses Light-cone construction and line-of-sight (LoS) modeling Ray-tracing through cosmological simulation volumes Mock FRB catalog generation Statistical studies of baryon distributions Comparisons between different feedback models (e.g., Fiducial and NoBH simulations) ARCOS was developed primarily for the analysis presented in: Zhang, Z.
