CE-ReDiFor: Central Europe Reference Database for Forest Disturbance Monitoring

This dataset contains primary fieldwork inventory records from 256 distinct forest sample plots subjected to intense ecological disturbances, including windthrow events, insect outbreaks, and mistletoe infestations across Poland. Primary inventories are stored across three distinct tables tracking baseline plot environment traits ("Plots"), mature forests ("Stands>=40" years), and young stands ("Stands<40" years). To guarantee cross-study interoperability, a relational reference file is bundled to comprehensively decode all categories such as crown visibility indices, site classifications, and tree health degradation codes. This monitoring asset was developed as a Third-Party Project framework (CE-ReDiFor) supported by the European Union FORWARDS initiative, with the ultimate objective of integrating baseline ecological data streams into the unified ForestWard Observatory platform for continuous European forest health mapping.
