Script and dataset from the paper: Balancing risks and information gathering: prospecting strategies in a territorial raptor

This repository contains the data and R script used to reproduce the analyses and figures presented in the paper "Prospecting under pressure: social information gathering strategies in immature Golden eagles" (Chaubet et al., 2026). The repository includes two processed datasets (data_RSF_nest_distance.Rdata and data_recursion.Rdata) and one R script (script_analysis_figure.R). The datasets contain GPS tracking data from 61 immature Golden eagles (Aquila chrysaetos) monitored in southern France, along with nest visitation metrics derived from a recursion analysis. The R script reproduces all statistical analyses (Generalized Additive Models and Generalized/Linear Mixed Models) and figures presented in the paper.
