This dataset contains experimental data on growth and somatic condition, chemical exposure verification (bioaccumulation), and liver molecular and biochemical responses of European seabass (Dicentrarchus labrax) juveniles after a 21 day dietary exposure to cadmium (CdCl₂) and ciprofloxacin (CIP). It includes (i) individual biometric measurements and derived somatic indexes (e.g., hepatosomatic index, condition factor, brain–body weight index), (ii) cadmium concentrations measured across multiple tissues and feed by ICP MS and ciprofloxacin concentrations measured in tissues and feed by UHPLC–MS/MS (including feed measurements after 7 and 14 days), (iii) liver oxidative stress, energy metabolism, and detoxification biomarkers quantified in post mitochondrial supernatant (CAT, SOD, GPx, GST, GR, total glutathione, lipid peroxidation/TBARS, IDH, LDH) with normalization to total protein (Biuret method), and (iv) liver gene expression (qRT PCR Cp/Cq values) for genes involved in antioxidant defence, biotransformation, inflammation, autophagy, and apoptosis (including ef1α as reference gene). Together, these data support integrative assessment of dietary metal and pharmaceutical exposure effects, linking internal exposure metrics with organismal condition and liver biochemical and transcriptional responses in a marine fish model.
