Development and Validation of the Main Character Syndrome Scale (MCS-10): A Psychometric Investigation Among Lebanese Young Adults

Research poster presented at LAU Research Day, April 2026, Byblos Campus, Lebanese American University. This poster presents the development and validation of the Main Character Syndrome Scale (MCS-10), a 10-item psychometric instrument measuring protagonist-centered self-perception in digital environments. Across two independent samples of Lebanese young adults (Study 1: N = 135, EFA; Study 2: N = 263, CFA), the MCS-10 demonstrated excellent model fit (CFI = .976, RMSEA = .045) and strong reliability (α = .861).
