The use of cannabidiol (CBD), particularly in formulations rich in phytocannabinoids, has emerged as a promising therapeutic alternative for managing disruptive behaviors and aggression in neurodivergent children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD). This study reviews recent evidence regarding the efficacy and safety of CBD, focusing on its effects on emotional regulation, impulsivity, and social interaction. CBD is believed to interact with the endocannabinoid system, modulating neurotransmitters such as serotonin and dopamine, which are directly linked to behavior. Clinical findings suggest a significant reduction in aggression, irritability, and behavioral outbursts, as well as improvements in sleep quality and attention span. Regarding safety, CBD demonstrates a favorable profile, with generally mild and transient side effects, including drowsiness and gastrointestinal changes. Nevertheless, medical supervision is essential, and further longitudinal research is needed to strengthen clinical recommendations. Overall, CBD appears to be a promising and relatively safe option, particularly when combined with multidisciplinary interventions in pediatric care.
