Of all the complications following the early postoperative period of an appendectomy, the appendicular stump necrosis is one of the most formidable ones. The duality of not well-presented symptoms in the early postoperative period, combined with a rapidly progressing peritonitis, forms a devastating, life-threatening condition. All presented above, combined with a last-trimester pregnancy, create a stage for difficult choices and challenging diagnoses.
