Data and R scripts for: Climate-sensitive periods of tree growth are advancing in cold and delaying in dry climates

This Zenodo deposit contains the R scripts and processed datasets used to reproduce the analyses and figures for the manuscript “Climate-sensitive periods of tree growth are advancing in cold and delaying in dry climates.” It includes the end-to-end pipeline for extracting climate-sensitive periods from tree-ring chronologies using daily ERA5-Land climate data, as well as the modelling and plotting scripts used for the manuscript. Processed analysis inputs (e.g., modelling_data.rds), comparison data (compare_SPEI_P.rds), and site-level metadata for 2,908 chronologies (meta_data.csv) are provided, together with a README describing how to run the workflows. Supplementary Data 1 and Supplementary Data 2 provide the full model outputs for the analyses of CSP shifts. Supplementary Data 1 reports models fitted at the climate-zone and clade level, whereas Supplementary Data 2 reports models fitted at the genus and climate-zone level. Each file includes complete fixed-effect estimates, including intercept and year terms, ID-level random-intercept estimates, variance components for the random intercept and residual, and key model fit and diagnostic metrics, including log-likelihood, AIC, BIC, residual σ, AR(1) ρ, convergence information, and summary residual diagnostics.
