Standalone figure-reproduction package for the manuscript Climate anxiety on Reddit. This archive contains the code, local data extracts, and generated figure outputs required to reproduce the figures shown in the main text and Supplementary Information. Contents. The deposit is organized as a standalone repository with code/, data/, and figs/ subfolders. Running the figure scripts from the provided data reproduces the manuscript figures directly into the figures folder. Source communities. Climate data were drawn from Reddit submissions and comments from seven climate-focused subreddits: r/climate, r/climatechange, r/climatedisalarm, r/climateskeptics, r/ClimateOffensive, r/ClimateChaos, and r/ClimateActionPlan. Non-climate baseline comparisons use r/CasualConversation, r/NoStupidQuestions, and r/Fitness. Filtering and preprocessing. The manuscript corpus spans 2008 to January 2025 and includes submissions and comments. Comments by automated moderators and deleted content were excluded. Text was cleaned by removing URLs, hashtags, and special characters. Climate-focused subreddit selection followed a rule-based process: subreddits with climate in the name were collected, then communities with fewer than 1,000 members or largely irrelevant sarcastic or multimedia content were excluded. Worry was quantified using the NRC WorryWords lexicon; the figure-generation scripts reproduce the manuscript figures from the provided processed data files without requiring the larger exploratory embedding or model workflow. Sampling used for figure reproduction. Climate figure data preserve the full worry range using stratified sampling across worry bins. Baseline figure data use within-subreddit worry percentiles and the sampled 1M comment parquet files included in this archive, matching the figure-construction workflow used for the manuscript figures. Scope. Only the code and data required to reproduce figures that appear in the main paper or Supplementary Information are included. Exploratory notebook components and model assets not needed for the published figures are intentionally omitted.
