Le résumé fourni par la source
This deliverable reports on the latest developments in AtlantECO-MAPS, a key exploitable result of the AtlantECO project, developed under Task 2.3 ‘Map microbiomes, plastics, the plastisphere, carbon flux and derived ecosystem structure and functions’. AtlantECO-MAPS uses state-of-the-art species distribution models that were carefully calibrated to account for spatiotemporal biases typical of marine ecosystem data. It generates maps at global scale, using discrete observations delivered in AtlantECO-BASE (D2.1 and D2.3) and assembled by: Task 2.2.1 ‘Microbiome data from traditional microscopy (presence-absence, abundance and biomass)’, Task 2.2.2 ‘Microbiome data from state-of-the-art optical/imaging analysis’, Task 2.2.3 ‘Microbiome and plastisphere data from state-of-the-art genetic analyses’, Task 2.2.4 ‘Nano-, micro and macroplastics data from state-of-the-art sampling methods’, and Task 2.2.5 ‘Carbon flux data estimated from high resolution bio-optical sensors’. This second version of AtlantECO-MAPS (D2.5) extends the first version (D2.3) with the addition of 6 new mapped products: Picozoa global habitat suitability and richness from Huber et al. (2024) Projected Habitat suitability for the co-occurrence of inferred ecological associations as reported in M.Gaudin et al. (2024) Functional (KOs) and Taxonomic (mOTUs) Diversity from De Angelis et al., in preparation (2025) Operational Protein Units (OPUs) from Huber et al. (2024) Variations in the latitudinal diversity gradients of the ocean microbiome Current and projected functional diversity of copepod communities as reported in Benedetti et al. (2025) This deliverable also reports on data visualisation apps and modelling pipelines specifically developed for the AtlantECO project and Task 2.3.
