Broadband Circularly Polarized Metasurface Antenna for BeiDou Navigation Satellite System
Résumé fourni par la source
In the context of the rapidly developing Space-Air-Ground Integrated Network (SAGIN) and next-generation intelligent communication systems, high-performance terminal hardware is crucial for ubiquitous connectivity. To address these demands, this paper presents a planar broadband circularly polarized (CP) metasurface antenna tailored for the BeiDou Navigation Satellite System (BDS). The design utilizes a square metasurface structure fed by a microstrip line-coupled slot on an F4B dielectric substrate. Through a systematic optimization strategy involving arrow-shaped structures and parasitic patches, the antenna achieves remarkable broadband performance. The measured -10 dB impedance bandwidth is 39.2% (1.14–1.69 GHz), covering the BeiDou B1 (1561 MHz), B2 (1207 MHz), and B3 (1268 MHz) bands. Furthermore, the antenna exhibits excellent gain stability, maintaining 6.3–7.7 dBic across the 1.2–1.6 GHz range with a peak gain of 7.7 dBic. This architecture offers a robust hardware solution for intelligent satellite communication terminals, ensuring reliable signal reception in complex electromagnetic environments.
