Development of the State-Building Process and the Idea of Ukraine's Independence in the 19th – Early 20th Century
Résumé fourni par la source
This study explores the development of Ukrainian state-building thought and the idea of independence from the 19th to the early 20th century. It examines key political movements, organizations, and figures that contributed to the formation of Ukrainian national consciousness in the absence of statehood. The research highlights the role of political crises, particularly the revolutions of 1905 and 1917, as catalysts for state-building processes. It demonstrates that the Ukrainian national movement evolved gradually toward independence, culminating in the establishment of national political institutions and the declaration of statehood in 1917–1918.
