Campbelltown Emergency Department staff recognise that responding to domestic violence (DV) is part of their work and are committed to improving responses via iterative development and implementation of a unique model of care for this patient group. This study aims to describe and evaluate the unique model of care for people experiencing DV at Campbelltown ED, identifying the scope of services provided, its impacts and outcomes, and features supporting or challenging implementation. The evaluation of the model of care utilised a mixed-methods design, incorporating: 1. A retrospective audit of medical records of patients attending Campbelltown ED in 2024 2. Semi-structured interviews with service providers involved in delivering the model of care.
