Le résumé fourni par la source
De-identified dataset of 2,706,867 athlete-race records from more than 1,500 IRONMAN® and IRONMAN® 70.3 events held worldwide between 2002 and 2026. Each record contains swim, first transition (T1), cycling, second transition (T2), running and overall times in seconds, together with finish status, age group, country, bib number, finishing ranks, All World Athlete qualification points and distance completed per segment. Records were obtained from the official IRONMAN® results platform (75.4%) and from an independent aggregator (24.6%) for event series absent from the official source. Data quality was assessed through cross-source agreement, field completeness, internal consistency and physiological plausibility; the accompanying manuscript reports those procedures and their results in full. Changes in this version. This version supersedes version 1. Athlete names are removed from every record, as before. In addition, 55 records have been withdrawn because the supplementary source had applied its own redaction to those athletes; that suppression is propagated here rather than silently reversed. The deposited file therefore contains 2,706,867 records, while the dataset described in the manuscript comprises 2,706,922. De-identified, not anonymous. Direct identifiers are removed, but the combination of event, age group, bib number and exact split times could in principle be matched against the publicly accessible source results, which display athlete names. This residual risk is inherent to the source: race results are published by the organizers as a public record of competition, and this file does not render any athlete more identifiable than the source already does. Coverage note. The 2026 season is incomplete. Data were collected on 27–28 March 2026.
