This feasibility study explored whether it is practical and acceptable to establish a national dataset containing details of OH assessments, which could be exploited for research to inform future policy and practice. The work used semi‑structured interviews with stakeholders spanning in‑house OH services, outsourced/hybrid models, contracted providers, and policy/professional bodies. The specific objectives were: 1. To determine the scale and nature of OH data in the UK, particularly that held by the larger OH providers. 2. To determine the extent to which data holders are willing to engage in sharing their OH data and the conditions and barriers (practical, legal, financial) attached to such sharing. 3. To determine what important research questions could be answered with these OH data. 4. To determine the major benefits of any data sharing for: data providers, OH professionals and policymakers, employers and employees, and other stakeholders.
