Design and Implementation of a Decentralized NFT Marketplace for Secure Digital Asset Exchange

This project aims to design a decentralized NFT marketplace that eventually supports advanced features such as DeFi lending, fractional ownership, and AI-based fraud detection. To date, our team has implemented a basic web interface and a partially developed ERC-721 token with its back-end architecture in development. We have done extensive research and design work-for instance, identifying that NFTs are unique digital assets verified on a blockchain, and that fractional ownership can lower the entry barriers and increase liquidity-but these capabilities are planned rather than realized. Thus far, we have focused on design thinking and prototyping: we plan a multi-layered system architecture, an initial interface, and code for a standards-compliant token prototype, including ERC-721. Advanced functionality-lending, analytics, and fraud detection-is yet to be developed. This report truthfully summarizes the work currently executed, the methodology guiding our development process, and the intended future directions.
