D3.3 (M48) - Report on curation in core ELIXIR registries (an ELIXIR Norway ELIXIR3 deliverable)

This report serves as an update on the progress of WP3 Task 3.4 in ELIXIR3, in support of curation efforts on content in repositories of metadata, datasets, tools, training, workflows, and other resources, in line with the best practices promoted by the ELIXIR Platforms. The report documents the progress made for the second phase of this Task (months 18–48). For the report regarding the previous period (months 1–18), please refer to the dedicated document. Whilst the first phase of this Task was mostly oriented towards ELIXIR Services delivered by ELIXIR Norway, and their inclusion in relevant ELIXIR registries such as bio.tools and FAIRsharing, this second phase is more oriented towards the curation of the said services and a deeper integration into the work of ELIXIR Europe. This involves curation of services recommended by ELIXIR, such as Recommended Interoperability Resources. It also included work coordinated by the ELIXIR Europe Biodiversity Community, together with the ELIXIR Galaxy and Microbiome Communities, and the EOSC EuroScienceGateway project. In this work, we led and carried out the curation and cataloguing of biodiversity-related tools and data resources in bio.tools, workflows in WorkflowHub, and both tools and workflows in Galaxy. This Task also supports other work packages within ELIXIR Norway, in particular with the development of best practices for the registration and annotation of training materials.
