Supplementary Material Description This supplementary document provides the complete methodological and analytical foundation supporting the present scoping review of computational and biomechanical models of chordotonal organs for vibroacoustic mechanosensing. The material includes:(i) the full scoping review protocol, including background, research questions, and a SPIDER-based methodological framework;(ii) detailed search strategies, including conceptual domain mapping, Boolean keyword construction, and pilot database testing procedures;(iii) structured data extraction templates covering modelling approaches, mechanical parameterisation, mechanotransduction representation, and validation strategies;(iv) a multi-level analytical synthesis framework, including descriptive analysis, conceptual mapping across the mechanistic chain, and systematic gap identification; and(v) a complete set of extraction observations for all included studies, providing detailed classification of modelling approaches (e.g., natural, lumped, FEM, continuous, and hybrid models) and their role within the mechanistic pathway. This supplementary material ensures transparency, reproducibility, and traceability of the review process, and provides an extended dataset that supports the interpretation of modelling fragmentation and the identification of gaps in multiscale integration across biomechanics, mechanotransduction, and neural encoding.
