FIGURE 5. Haplotype networks inferred from the phased DNA sequences of the nuclear gene RAG1 (562 bp; 25 individuals). Circles represent distinct haplotypes with size proportional to their frequency in the individuals sequenced. Dots on branches indicate mutational steps between sampled haplotypes. The focal lineages of the 'Ptychadena aequiplicata-group' (Pag) are highlighted in turquoise and haplotypes found within the group are colour-coded in accordance with the lineages identified in the mitochondrial phylogeny (Fig. 4).
