Modelled ranges of West African species of the Ptychadena aequiplicata-group, with only barcoded records included; a) P. atewae sp. nov.; b) P. dahomeyensis sp. nov.; c) P. saskiae sp. nov.; d) P. silvamare sp. nov.; the deeper the colour the more suitable the respective area should be for the species; ENMs for P. atewae sp. nov. and P. dahomeyensis sp. nov. are not scientifically sound, because of the very low number-of-occurrences; ENMs for P. saskiae sp. nov. and P. silvamare sp. nov. are corrected for biogeographic barriers, i.e. the predicted areas east of Cavally (border between Liberia and Côte d'Ivoire) for P. saskiae sp. nov. and east of the Dahomey Gap (east of Togo) for P. silvamare sp. nov. are excluded; occurrence records are shown with coloured symbols (compare Fig. 6), type localities are shown with large stars in species-specific colours (Fig. 4). Background data shows elevation in a grey scale with darker colours indicating higher elevations at 150 arc seconds (Farr et al. 2007), maximum altitude set to 5000 m a.s.l. (black) and major rivers are depicted in blue (compare to Penner et al. 2019).
