Is masking/camouflaging a feature of ADHD?: A scoping review

ADHD is associated with everyday difficulties including social and functional problems. The condition is being increasingly understood to be under the umbrella of neurodivergence. However, unlike other neurodivergent conditions such as autism, discussions of masking/camouflaging behaviours in ADHD is limited. As masking/camouflaging poses a mental health burden, understanding its prevalence and potential impact in the ADHD population is important for wellbeing. Furthermore, it may pose an additional diagnostic marker.
