Diagnosis of the impact of the golden mussel Limnoperna fortunei (Dunker, 1857) on fishing and aquaculture

We present a semi-structured questionnaire for use in studies aimed at detecting the presence and consequences of the golden mussel in fishing and aquaculture activities. The questions seek to identify where the mollusk is attaching itself, how it affects vessel maintenance, and whether there are losses in fish production, either in fishing or aquaculture. In addition to assessing damage to equipment, this questionnaire analyzes the level of awareness of producers regarding the dispersal of the species and the control measures adopted. Thus, this questionnaire allows for the collection of data on the economic and environmental impact caused by the golden mussel on fishing and fish farming.
