Le résumé fourni par la source

These files contain the whole-genome sequencing data of the Bordetella pertussis B1917 strain and its derivatives used in the article, "Limited response of primary nasal epithelial cells to Bordetella pertussis infection", by Zmuda et el., https://doi.org/10.1128/spectrum.01267-25. Sequencing analysis revealed the presence of an IS481 insertion at amino acid position 3291 within the prodomain region of the FhaB protein. The reference sequence (FhaB_locus_RS08415) and the FhaB sequence containing the IS481 insertion (FhaB_IS481) from the strains used in the study are also provided separately. This insertion was identified only after the publication of the original article. Recent just published work highlights the importance of the C-terminal region of FhaB for the movement of Bordetella bronchiseptica RB50 from the apical region of tracheal cilia toward their base as well as for successful colonization of the mouse nasal epithelium by B. pertussis Tohama I (1). In the light of these results, we propose that the reduced ciliary binding in our study may result from the IS481 insertion in fhaB. Although this finding does not affect the experimental results or conclusions reported in the original article, host cell responses to B. pertussis strains that bind cilia more efficiently may differ from those described.
