Responsible AI in journalism and public discourse
Le résumé fourni par la source
The integration of artificial intelligence (AI) inti journalism and public discourse has transformed the media landscape, enabling new forms of content creation, curation, and dissemination. However, this technological advancement raises significant concerns regarding ethics, bias, misinformation, and accountability. This paper investigates the emergence and application of responsible AI (RAI) frameworks in journalism and public communication, with a focus on ensuring transparency, fairness, and democratic integrity. Drawing on recent literature from Scopus and ABDC-indexed journals (2020–2025), the study synthesizes theoretical and empirical findings to examine how RAI principles are operationalized in media systems. Employing a qualitative systematic review methodology guided by the PRISMA framework, the paper identifies emerging trends, challenges, and governance models shaping the discourse. The findings reveal both the promise and perils of AI-driven journalism and suggest pathways for integrating ethical oversight in algorithmic news environments.
