Résumé fourni par la source

Green nanotechnology combines sustainable practices with nanotechnology to create safe and sustainable nanoparticles for biomedical applications. This chapter delves into how nanoparticles can be produced utilizing plant extracts, microbes and biopolymers, highlighting their advantages in drug administration, diagnostics and regenerative medicine. The main goal is to compare the efficacy and safety of green nanoparticles to conventional methods. Nanoparticles produced via biological methods should have consistent size and stability, the process that removes toxic compounds and harmful byproducts. Techniques like ultraviolet-visible spectroscopy, X-ray diffraction and transmission electron microscopy were used to confirm the structure and functions. The nanoparticles illustrate improved compatibility, reduced toxicity and effectiveness in targeted drug delivery. Moreover, antibacterial, anticancer, antioxidant, anti-inflammatory and antiviral properties have been studied for green-synthesized nanoparticles. These determining the potential of green nanotechnology to transform biomedical applications, while diminishing environmental damage. However, issues such as large-scale production, repeatability and meeting regulatory standards remain. Overcoming these challenges could enable the broad use of green nanomaterials in clinical settings and provide safer and more eco-friendly modern medicine.
